Hot rumors about Apple’s next version of the iPad are out today, and they include news about it’s screen size and new CPU. According to Digitimes Research,
Apple is replacing the Apple-built A4 processor with a faster Cortex-A9 (the A4 would continue to be used in the iPhone 4, presumably) and upgrading the 256MB of RAM to 512MB. They also hint that a 7-inch version of Apple’s tablet is coming, but will still feature the same 1024×768 resolution as the 9.7-inch original. Perhaps the Super Retina Display highly publicized for the iPhone 4 will find its way into these new tablets. We could see these tablets announced and released as early as the first quarter of 2011. Keep your fingers crossed.
